Applications are now open for the Community Leadership Academy —a free, 12‑week program offered by Be Healthy Berrien in partnership with Corewell Health. This program is designed to help residents strengthen leadership skills and create positive, local change.
The Academy is open to adults (18+) living in Niles, Niles Charter Township, Buchanan City, and Buchanan Township. Participants will build skills in leadership, advocacy, communication, and problem‑solving while addressing community priorities such as food access, physical activity, and safety.
Program highlights include:
Free 12‑week program
Thursday evening sessions
Meals provided
Childcare stipends available
No prior leadership experience is needed—just a passion for your community and a desire to help it thrive. If you or someone you know lives in ZIP codes 49120 or 49107, this is a great opportunity to turn ideas into action.
